It's never too late to start
My reason for learning to write code was to create video games.
More than a half a life later, I didn't have any finished.
When I was 13 years old, I had to choose a career somewhat by force. I could only choose between engineering or something that was cheap to afford and lucrative when finished.
I have always loved the arts and have greatly enjoyed various forms of entertainment, including video games.
After a scolding session, I looked back at my Famicom and remembered how many hours I had spent in the company of Mario, the ninja turtles and other beloved characters.
Then I said: — I want to make games!
My mother asked me what is needed for this, to which I replied: programming.
Now, after more than 10 years developing business software, having gone through the development of video management systems for TV channels, having achieved full stack status and working as a frontend for an important hotel chain in my country...
I got burned!
And now as a form of therapy, I have begun to learn what game development is now, I am quite excited that there are so many engines and technologies for making games.
When I was in college, it took me a long time to draw a 2D or 3D character on the screen with C++ and OpenGL or SDL.
And well, now I have fallen in love with Pico-8, it reminds me of those Famicom games I grew up with and I love its workflow.
This is my first game released to the world, it is not complete, it is not beautiful, it is not good, however, it has a clear objective and a challenge to solve.
I hope one day to have the level to develop very fun and high-quality games, in the meantime, I will continue experimenting with Pico-8.

Entonces dije: — ¡Quiero hacer juegos!
¡Me quemé!
